Nick Zubeck (Sun Kil Moon), Tim Shia (Worst Pop Band Ever), and Mark Laver (Earthtones) got together for the first time at Nick's Studio in Guelph one fine day in June and decided to make some music. Mark and Nick had never met before, but they had a shared admiration/fear of Tim's facial hair and thus Shiverbeck was born.
